I had the chance to ask one of our agents, Roseanna McCall, a few questions about real estate and living in Arkansas. She is such a sweet, caring, and fun agent here at Homeward Realty. We are lucky to have her.
How did you get started in real estate?
I developed a love for real estate later in life. Real estate as a career became a revelation after looking for our house that we bought in March 2018. I loved looking at all of the houses and our agent had so much joy for us when we found the house for us. There is a special feeling of pride that comes with helping a person or family find their HOME.
What areas do you cover in real estate?
I am all over Central Arkansas daily, but I mainly cover Cabot, Beebe, Searcy, and Vilonia.
Favorite place to eat in Central Arkansas?
My favorite go to spot to eat is Cheryl's Diner in Cabot, AR. I don't frequent there as much as I would like to but their breakfast is amazing and all of the employees are super friendly.
Favorite things about Arkansas? (things to do, places to visit, etc.)
My family really enjoys being outside. When the weather and our schedule permits, we take day or weekend trips to Hot Springs, Heber Springs, and Petit Jean. My girls are fearless and always up for some hiking, kayaking, or cliff jumping.
Hobbies, when not working real estate?
What are hobbies again? For the moment, my hobbies are my children's activities. Our oldest is in competitive gymnastics and that comes with lots of practices and meets. I am also super involved in our local church, so that takes up a large chunk of time. But overall, I really just enjoy spending time with my family and enjoying the small window of time that we have with our kids.
What makes living in Central Arkansas so appealing?
Arkansas is a beautiful place to live. I have been spoiled by the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Most of the people here are super friendly and the schools are excellent. Arkansas is a great place to raise a family.
What do you feel is the most important room in the house?
I believe the living room/den is the most important room in a house. We are big entertainers and I love having "space" for all of our guests to hang out and feel like it is their home as well.
Favorite vacation spot? (can be in or out of Arkansas)
I am regretfully not well traveled, but I really enjoy a quick trip to Six Flags in any state. I LOVE the idea of beaches and have been to a few, but I do not love sand or fish!
Why Homeward Realty? (as in place you chose to work)
Homeward Realty was a no brainer. Anthony and Julie are super sweet individuals and make you feel comfortable right off the bat. I am still a very new agent but Anthony has been very helpful and tolerant of my numerous questions. I am really grateful for the flexibility and grace for "life".
What is the most satisfying aspect of being a realtor?
The most satisfying aspect of being a realtor is seeing a client's face when they find the one! You can tell because they light up and their whole body language changes once they have walked into the house for them.
What advice do you have for first time home buyers?
My advice to home buyers is to look until they find the house for them. Buyer's remorse is a real thing and buying a house is a huge investment. It's a delicate mix of taking your time and trusting your gut.
Advice for sellers?
My advice to sellers is to prepare your house to sell. Buyer's love walking into a clean and welcoming house where they can imagine their belongings. Clutter and messes often distract buyers and discourage them from considering the house as an option for them.
What do you want future clients to know about you?
I want my future clients to know that they are my priority. I run around like a crazy person every day of the week, but my clients are always my number one priority. I will do everything in my power to ensure that you have a smooth and enjoyable experience as a buyer or seller.
